Many people think they need to follow an extreme diet and never can eat “treat foods” ever again if they want to get noticeable results. I am here to tell you, that’s rubbish! So I thought I would write an article on how to get in great shape without drastic dieting.

What happens when you start a new diet?
A few days into it, after cutting the foods you enjoy….you really start to crave them and give up as you are so hungry for the thing you can’t have! If this has ever happened to you, please read on.
Are you someone who has yo-yo dieted a number of times and put more back on than before you started?
Jumping on and off different diets is not good. It’s not healthy and your body becomes unstable and doesn’t function as it should. Your metabolism is likely to get damaged too and if this happens, it means it’s harder for you to burn off excess fat.
How to get in great shape without drastic dieting:
It’s not that hard!
You need to have in your mind that you are “healthy eating” not “dieting”
Cut chocolates, biscuits, coffee, alcohol etc reduce down gradually. (If you cut all at once you will get massive headaches and more than likely fail)
Follow a simple, food guide which contains 4 – 5 meals or snacks per day, all of which include healthy proteins, good carbs and good fats.
Do not go longer than 3 hours in between.
Allow yourself to have 1 relaxed day per week but don’t go mad! Enjoy a wine or whatever you like, have some chocolate. On this day, still eat 5 times as you would every other day to keep your metabolism good.
Never be hard on yourself for an odd extra bad food choice outside of the relaxed day. We are all human and make mistakes. Just put it behind you and carry on. You need to tell yourself…this cannot happen often as I am un-doing all the clean eating.
Give it time – do not expect to be 100% within the first week!
If you have no clue where to start with your healthy eating plan, it may be worth talking to someone qualified and experienced with proven client results.
I have helped many clients worldwide get this nailed & maintain results long term too, (never even thinking about dieting again) So location is not an issue. Find someone who you trust and inspires you with their results and clients too.

Do you struggle to plan and prepare meals and snacks?
Some people just cannot get themselves organised enough or find the time to plan and prepare all their meals and snacks on a daily basis consistently. I was the same when my children were younger. So I incorporated supplements alongside healthy quick food. Never ever totally replace food with supplements. They are meant to compliment food and fill a gap! I still use and will always use them alongside my food as I believe its hard to get every single vitamin and mineral we need from food alone every single day. This shows in immunity and energy levels.
