What do you think?…Can 15 minutes cardio a day really make a difference?
My answer to that is YES! Especially if at the moment you are fairly inactive. Even active people if they do an effective 15 minutes then will see a difference too yes.
The majority of people want to know the best way to see results in the gym in the quickest time as we normally lead busy lives. In terms of cardio training…this will give you fat burning results and improve your fitness level. If you are wanting results such as a great six pack or an overall toned sculpted body or to see a change of shape to certain areas then you will need to incorporate additional workouts with weights or resistance bands etc.

But for today we are talking about can 15 mins cardio a day really make a difference?….
If you do your 15 minutes at a pace which doesn’t make you break into a sweat then I would say you are not getting enough from it no. You need to make your 15 minutes either HIIT or LISS style.
High intensity interval training (HIIIT) or Low Intensity Slow Steady (LISS) are the most effective types of cardio training to burn fat and therefore you will see change in your body (assuming you have a balanced diet of course).
I would say within a week or 2 from doing 15 minutes cardio training either HIIT or LISS consistently every day, you will notice a massive improvement in your fitness level.
HIIT style is intervals of steady pace for a period of time changed to fast pace. This change happens at regular intervals throughout the workout. It shocks your body in a good way and burns off more fat. A 15 minute HIIT workout is probably equivalent to 30 minutes at a constant pace.
LISS style is usually done in a fasted state so maybe first thing when you get up. The heart rate is taken up for the first few minutes by going at a fast pace, then the pace is slowed down to a steady pace throughout, ensuring the heart rate stays in the fat burning zone based on your age.
Consistency is key!
You will not see results unless you are consistent! If you make the decision to challenge yourself and seriously want to see results, you must do 15 minutes every day without fail.
Monitor your progress!
If you are consistent, you will feel fitter as time goes on every time you keep working out. If you want to see visible results then take start pictures in underwear or swimwear so you can see your shape properly and check every 3-4 weeks. Obviously you can weigh and measure too but don’t get obsessed with the scales.
