3 Top diet tips for a flatter stomach

Want to know my 3 Top diet tips for a flatter stomach?….. There is so much contradicting information out there, online especially about how much to eat, when to eat etc. Many ladies come to me confused after trying fad diets and various products. Want to know what I would advise on an ideal eating plan and frequency?

Whatever your goal is, everyone should be aiming to keep their metabolism going at a decent speed. This means that our bodies should be functioning well keeping body fat down and lean muscle mass up.

So, here are my 3 top diet tips for a flatter stomach that I have seen many clients achieve results with;

1 – Eat either a meal or snack 5 times per day,

(3 light meals and 2 healthy snacks is ideal).

2 – Include healthy protein in every meal or snack

(Things like tuna, chicken, eggs, white fish)

3 – Do not go longer than 3 hours in between meals / snacks

(2.5-3 hours is a good guide to keep metabolism sped up)

Of course there are other things you must get in too for a good balance. Such as ensuring you drink minimum of 2.5 litres water each day. Adding healthy carbs and healthy fats in too. Just use common sense for now on these – plenty of vegetables and salad (good carbs). Small amounts of starchy carbs like pasta, rice, bread. Brown or wholemeal is best. Keep transfats and saturated fats low. Look for mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated instead. I will cover these in more detail on a separate blog.

Definitely keep a food log when you decide to really get on track. There’s no point doing 1 or 2 days then going back to eating twice a day again!
